During our conversation, Cox explained that, despite the directive, her course content was the same.
“Like I said, I’ve made no changes, and I’m teaching mainly intro right now. That’s the messages we’re getting from administration and our department.”
These administrators, who are expected to uphold the directive from the Board of Governors, are the same ones who are encouraging their staff to keep going.
University officials can rename programs, reorganize departments, and change terminology, but they cannot hide what they are willing to admit when they believe nobody is listening.
