Because of their inaction, the Senate is out of session while millions of Americans are waiting for economic relief that's long overdue. Americans deserve better than this. In just a couple of months, the election will give us a chance to take back the Senate. In order to do that, I need your help right now to protect incumbent Democratic senators that the GOP is aggressively targeting: my friends Doug Jones in Alabama, Gary Peters in Michigan, Jeanne Shaheen in New Hampshire, and Tina Smith in Minnesota.

Doug Jones

When Doug flipped this seat in a special election in 2017, he became the first Democrat to represent Alabama in the Senate in 25 years. Now, deep-pocketed GOP groups like Karl Rove's One Nation and the Club for Growth are planning millions of dollars in TV ads to run against Doug. His opponent, Tommy Tuberville, is a former college football coach who's admitted that he "wouldn't have a clue" how to deal with the coronavirus. Chip in to help keep Doug in the Senate!

Gary Peters

Gary's opponent, Republican John James, has said he "stands with Trump 2,000%" -- and he's outraised Gary's campaign for four quarters running. Now, Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight and CBS are reporting that if Republicans can win in Michigan in 2020, they can keep control of the Senate. Chip in now to keep Michigan's Senate seat safe.

Jeanne Shaheen

A trusted partner in the fight for our environment, Jeanne sponsored the International Climate Accountability Act last year to try to keep the U.S. in the Paris Climate Agreement. Trump endorsed Jeanne's likely opponent in a tweet, and that means the Republican candidate will be showered with funds from the Trump Victory organization. On top of that, Jeanne's likely opponent has put more than $4 million of his personal fortune into his campaign -- and he has the means to spend millions more. Tina Smith

Tina won the Minnesota Senate special election in November 2018, and she's already up for re-election. Running back-to-back races is never easy, and to make it even tougher, Trump and Pence have endorsed Tina's opponent, former congressman and right-wing radio show host Jason Lewis. Trump lost Minnesota by just 1.5 percentage points in 2016, and his campaign has pledged to spend up to $30 million in Minnesota. Recent polls show this race in a dead heat -- chip in to help keep Tina's seat safe!

As we saw at last week's convention, Democrats have a clear vision for addressing the climate crisis, repairing our alliances abroad, and getting America working again. But delivering on that agenda means we have to take back the Senate -- and that starts with holding on to the seats we already have.
