Food security needs healthy workers and a healthy environment. Bill C-30 will give us neither.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Friend,

Who do you trust?

This is an important question in light of Bill C-30. The omnibus bill would give cabinet undue power to approve dangerous pesticides in agriculture.

Last Tuesday, Green Party Leader Elizabeth May stood up and called the bill what it is. It’s the biggest blow to pesticide regulation in Canadian history.

It flies in the face of evidence and science, and it’s one more example of the Liberal government putting short-term profit ahead of our health and our habitats.

So, who do you trust: The experts, or the government tearing up the protections that keep Canadians safe and healthy?

At the Green Party, we listen to the researchers, farmers, workers and communities. They’ve seen first-hand how these chemicals can ruin an ecosystem or send a loved-one to the hospital.

Together, we can make the federal government listen too. But we need to work fast.

Pesticides can linger in and harm an area for decades. But some of their effects can happen quickly. Particularly dangerous pesticides cause birth defects and cancer in humans. They also kill pollinators and other vital species, wreaking havoc on the environments that rely on them.

The Green Party and our supporters know that economic and food security both rely on healthy workers and a healthy environment. We know that the way toward this goal lies in local food systems, empowering organic growers, and banning toxic chemicals and harmful pesticides.

And we know that, together, we can reach a future where farmers prosper, ecosystems thrive, and no one goes hungry. Your generous gift today will help get us there.

June 30th marks the end of the second quarter of 2026. Political parties report their fundraising totals every quarter and those numbers will be read and reported on by journalists. Those numbers tell a story. Help ours show that Canadians are standing with the party that refuses to vote away our health, food security, and environmental protections.

By June 30th our goal is to raise $187,500. As of June 15, we’ve raised $76,055.

Can we count on you to make a tax-deductible gift today to help us reach our June goal, speak out against Bill C-30, defend environmental protections, and organize across Canada to share our values for healthy communities, safe food, and a livable future? The max in 2026 you can give is $1,775:
