Friend,
Folks in D.C. – even those who want to sell off our public lands – know our national parks, forests, and monuments are overwhelmingly popular with voters in both parties. They know that if they openly introduce a bill to bulldoze a wilderness area, they will face a huge public backlash.
Just look at the reaction to Mike Lee’s attempt to take over millions of acres of public lands through Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill last year.
So they found a backdoor to get it done called the Congressional Review Act (CRA), and they are using it as a blunt instrument to systematically dismantle our most cherished public lands and hand them over to extraction lobbies.
The Senate recently approved the unprecedented use of the CRA to overturn critical protections for the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in Minnesota—the most visited wilderness area in the country. They did this specifically to open the door for a Chilean-owned company to build a toxic copper-and-nickel mine directly in the headwaters.
Next on their chopping block is Utah’s Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, a 1.9-million-acre geological marvel and designated International Dark Sky Park. Politicians are pushing a new CRA resolution to nuke its management plan. The goal is to remove the science-based protections and open the door for coal extraction and the logging of old-growth forests.
Aided and abetted by elected politicians in D.C., foreign corporations are being handed the keys to desecrate our riches, fell our trees, and foul our waters.
At Public Land Warriors, we are continuing to fight against these takeover attempts and to shine a light on them for the American public to see.
Will you join us in this fight to protect our public lands and chip in $25, $50, or $100 today to help us hold these politicians accountable? [ [link removed] ]

When our grandchildren ask if they can canoe in Minnesota without worrying about toxic runoff, or look at the stars in Utah without the glare of a coal mine, we want to be able to say yes.
You take our land, we take your seat.
For the wild,
Public Land Warriors
