Judge Garaufis was furious with how U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Deputy Director Joseph Edlow undermined the high court by saying their decision to protect DACA “has no basis in law.”
The Supreme Court interprets the law -- not Donald Trump or his cronies. On the heels of such a stinging rebuke, undocumented Americans and their lawyers will now appeal to federal judges like Garaufis to see if they’ll force the Trump administration to reopen the DACA program.
