John,
Today, be part of a movement to Rise Up and Sing Out for the First Amendment.
Rise Up, Sing Out: a Concert for the First Amendment will be livestreamed nationwide, and local watch parties will bring people together to sing, make art, share food, connect with neighbors, and take meaningful action. The concert is sponsored by the Committee for the First Amendment, with people nationwide joining to rise up and sing out together.
This is the kind of gathering we need right now. Authoritarian politics feeds on fear and isolation. It wants people to be angry, exhausted, alone, and convinced that nothing they do matters. We know better.
Every movement that has ever expanded freedom in this country has depended on people gathering, organizing, refusing silence, and deciding together what comes next.
RSVP for a Rise Up, Sing Out watch party near you, host one in your community, or sign up to join virtually.

Trump is marking his 80th birthday with a White House spectacle. Our movement is marking the same day with music, community, and a clear defense of the freedoms that belong to all of us: speech, assembly, protest, religion, press, and expression.
One vision treats the country like a stage for one man. The other treats democracy like something people build together, community by community, neighbor by neighbor, action by action.
Whether you attend in person, join a virtual watch party, or host a gathering yourself, your presence helps build the durable infrastructure our movement needs. These gatherings help people find each other before the next fight.
RSVP now for a Rise Up, Sing Out watch party and help build the people power we need to defend our freedoms.

John,
Trump is using Flag Day and his 80th birthday to stage a White House spectacle centered on power, domination, and self-glorification. That’s why this Sunday, June 14, people will gather for Rise Up, Sing Out, a national concert for the First Amendment and an evening to build community, connection, and people power.
The event is sponsored by the Committee for the First Amendment and will celebrate the freedoms that belong to all of us: speech, assembly, protest, religion, press, and expression. The livestream will feature an all-star lineup including Jane Fonda, Patti Smith, Bette Midler, Rufus Wainwright, Joy Reid, Wilson Cruz, Broadway Inspirational Voices, and more.
At local watch parties, people will sing along, make art, share food, meet neighbors, and take meaningful action together. There are also virtual watch parties, so that you can participate from anywhere.
Authoritarian politics tries to break our courage, our community, and our willingness to show up for one another. On Sunday, we must answer with something stronger.
RSVP for a Rise Up, Sing Out watch party near you — or sign up to host one in your community.

Be part of a movement offering a vision of people coming together across race, background, identity, belief, and community to defend our rights and build a future rooted in people power.
The Committee for the First Amendment is leading this concert, with Indivisible and No Kings helping turn the livestream into local organizing. That matters because movements are built when people know each other, trust each other, and are ready to act together when the next attack comes.
The First Amendment is more than words on paper. It is the right to speak, gather, protest, worship, report, create, criticize, organize, and refuse to be ruled by fear. Those freedoms survive when people use them.
Join a watch party, host one, or sign up for a virtual gathering. Bring a neighbor. Bring a friend. Bring the people who know something is wrong and need a place to plug in.
RSVP or host a Rise Up, Sing Out watch party this Sunday and help build the community infrastructure we need to defeat authoritarianism.
