Indivisibles,
We already knew that Mitch McConnell, Martha McSally, and the rest of our
Payback Project target senators have spent years holding up progress and
underserving their constituents to protect their corporate donors’
interests.
Here’s what we just learned: one of those corporate donors is [ [link removed] ]Louis
DeJoy, former shipping and logistics CEO -- and current Postmaster
General. Yes, that Postmaster General.
So it’s no surprise that GOP senators aren’t in a hurry to correct his
willful mismanagement and dismantling of the Postal Service. He literally
helped them get elected.
We deserve senators who work for the people, not for wealthy donors whose
interests are served when the government doesn’t work. That’s why we
started the Payback Project -- and it’s why we have to work harder than
ever to take back the Senate this November.
Our plans had to change when the pandemic hit, but one thing’s still the
same: we’re doing everything we can think of to win this year. That means
ads, (virtual) events, textbanking and phonebanking, direct mail, and all
the new ways we’re doing GOTV these days. None of it comes free, so we’re
asking for your help. The next few months are crucial, and we need to
count on your support: [ [link removed] ]can you give $5 a month today to support the
Payback Project and all our work this year?

Republicans have been fighting to privatize the USPS for decades -- we
have to draw the line and protect one of the country’s most popular and
important public services. That starts with electing representatives who
really serve the people. We’re glad you’re working with us for a better
democracy.
In solidarity,
Indivisible Team
