Kneecapping the Postal Service isn't the only threat to the election. It might not even be the biggest threat.

Friend,

Trump's attempt to kneecap the Postal Service isn't the only threat to the November election that we have to worry about.

In fact, it might not even be the biggest threat.

Voting rights experts are warning that Republican voter suppression combined with a shortage of poll workers could lead to hours-long lines and widespread polling place closings in November.

In fact, we're already seeing it. In Kentucky's June primary, there was one polling place for the entire city of Louisville. In April, 175 out of 180 polling places in Milwaukee were closed. Think of what that could mean in November.

Another huge threat that could disenfranchise millions of voters are ballot rejections because of tiny technicalities, like a signature that doesn't quite match the one on file. Studies have shown that first-time voters and racial minorities are about twice as likely to have their votes rejected.

Those are just two of the threats that we know about. Imagine what the Trump administration might be cooking up that we don't even know about yet.

To protect the integrity of this election, we MUST have nonprofit, independent journalism freed from the constraints and biases of the corporate media to watchdog every step of the process and hold Trump and his cronies accountable.

That's why our pre-election Summer Fundraising Campaign is so critically important. We must nail our goal of $80,000 by September 1 to make sure we have the resources to provide the fearless coverage that the corporate media won't.

Will you donate now to help reach our Summer Fundraising Campaign goal and fund Common Dreams through this all-important election?
