This November, we have an extraordinary opportunity to flip a historically red seat and make history by electing Mississippi's first Black U.S. Senator since the Reconstruction era: Mike Espy.

Mike has led an incredible life of public service and has already made history by becoming Mississippi's first Black U.S. Congressman since Reconstruction, as well as the first ever Black Secretary of Agriculture during the Clinton administration. Since then, he's devoted his time overseeing non-profit organizations that focus on food security and economic opportunity in impoverished communities.

In 2018, Mike ran for this same U.S. Senate seat in a special election, and though he lost to his Republican opponent, he took everyone by surprise by coming closer to winning than any other Democratic candidate in the state since 1983.

Now, Mike is taking on the same opponent again this November -- a Senator who has casually joked about public hangings and voter suppression, opposes removing Confederate statues from the U.S. Capitol, and has called the Civil War era "Missisissippi at its best."

A brand new poll shows Mike just five points down from winning this race. With enough grassroots support from people like you, he can do the unthinkable and flip Mississippi.

Will you help us flip the Senate and make history in Mississippi by splitting a contribution between my and Mike's campaigns today? Anything you're able to give will make a difference.
