Trump just nominated Jay Clayton to serve as Director of National Intelligence, handing him oversight of the 18 agencies that make up the U.S. intelligence community.
But just days earlier, Clayton went on CNBC and called the state of our elections “an absolutely terrible job,” pointing to California’s ongoing vote count as if taking the time to count every ballot were proof that something “corrupt” was happening.
That is exactly why Trump wants him in the job. Not because he has deep intelligence experience, but because he is willing to repeat the lie Trump needs most, that an election only counts if Republicans win.
We cannot stop this nomination, but we can do the one thing that makes the lie fall apart, which is turn out so many voters that the result is too big, too clear, and too decisive to spin into another conspiracy theory.
That is the work GOTV PAC is doing right now. We reach the low-propensity voters Republicans are counting on to stay home, and we make sure they have the information, reminders, and support they need to cast their ballots.
Last year, we won 94% of the races we entered. We helped stop Elon Musk from buying a Wisconsin Supreme Court seat, and we helped Democrats win their largest legislative majority in Virginia since 1987.
If you can spare $35 today, your donation will go straight toward reaching the voters who will decide control of the House this November.
