If you have seen my campaign before, you’ll know we have jumped through countless hoops, the latest being gerrymandered into a different district. We have kept the same fight up, but sometimes I get asked: “ Mike, why are you doing this?”
For me the answer has never changed. It’s the families I’ve sat across from in diners across three counties who are working harder than any generation before them and still can’t get ahead. It’s the young people inheriting a country that feels more broken than promised. It’s every person who has ever sat in a doctor’s office, or a kitchen table, or a car in a parking lot trying to figure out how to make the numbers work and wondered whether anyone in Washington even knows they exist.
I know they exist. Because I’ve been one of them.
Our fight is based on the real struggles our communities face, and I won’t tap out until I get you a seat at the table on Capitol Hill. Can I rely on a $20 donation today to make that happen this year? [ [link removed] ]
This campaign was never about defeating one politician. It was about proving that a different kind of politics is possible. One built on honesty, on showing up, on fighting for people who have been waiting too long for someone to fight for them.
We have built something real here. Something that belongs to every person who has chipped in, shared a post, knocked a door, or simply believed that this district could be better represented.
Don’t stop now.
