Democratic messaging usually sounds something like this: “Democrats are
fighting to help you put food on the table.”
Now look, of course that’s true, but that vision isn’t big enough. Being
against Donald Trump is simply not enough.
We need to think bigger, dream bigger, and lay out a vision for the New
American Dream that people can see themselves in, something they want to
vote for. A Michigan where you know you’ll have a tight knit community,
where you don’t have to just get by, but afford the life you dreamed of.
While Donald Trump wants to burn it all to the ground, we have to build
something new — something that works for everyone.
That’s why I first ran for office, even when everyone told me I couldn’t
win. It’s why I flipped a seat that my opponent had won by 16 points in
the previous election. Just about everyone told me I’d lose. But we did
the actual work, organized, and won a seat that nobody thought we could
touch.
I know how to beat MAGA extremists because I’ve actually gone toe-to-toe
with them and won. Now, I’m bringing that same strategy to my run for the
U.S. Senate.
This month is incredibly important for this campaign. Ballots drop in
exactly 12 DAYS, and we are staring down our final end-of-quarter
