John, it's Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor Austin Davis.
Gun violence prevention is personal to me.
I want to tell you how I got here, but before I do, can you chip in just $10 to help me protect Pennsylvanians from MAGA's dangerous gun agenda?
When I was 16 years old, a man was shot on my block. My sense of safety and security in my community was shattered. To this day, that moment has never left me.
That experience inspired me to dedicate my life to public service. And it's why I've championed gun violence prevention every step of the way. No one in Pennsylvania should live in a community where they don't have the opportunity to feel AND be safe.
With President Trump in office, that progress is constantly at risk. Let me break it down:
→ MAGA Republicans believe everyone should have access to deadly weapons, no questions asked
→ Trump's administration legalized accessories that can turn firearms into machine guns
→ They've protected suppliers of crime guns and dismantled our federal public health and safety infrastructure
But even with the chaos in Washington, D.C., Governor Shapiro and I are fighting back. Through a comprehensive strategy, we’ve increased resources for victims and made continued investments in public safety, supporting both law enforcement and community-based violence prevention groups that do the work to keep our communities safe. As a result, fatal gun violence is down 42 percent in Pennsylvania under our Administration.
We’ve got a lot of stuff done, but there is still so much more we have to accomplish. And John, I can't do it without you.
Here's why I'm asking today: we're almost halfway through June, which means my big end-of-month fundraising deadline is only a couple of weeks away. Can you chip in a few bucks right now to make sure I have the resources to win re-election and stay on the front lines for you?
