Our responsibility in Congress is to take care of people.

So before we spend billions of dollars building data centers across the
country, we need to meet some basic protections for people.

We need some guarantees on our water, and the air we breathe.

We need to make sure that there's a plan for the jobs that stand to be
wiped out, so we're not leaving people out to dry.

We should be starting congressional investigations into the effects of AI
data centers, and figuring out — with precision — how we protect our water
supplies, our power bills, and keep people from getting sick.

I know as a politician these companies are going to spend a billion
dollars against me for saying it, but politicians — especially Democrats —
should pledge not to take AI money. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I refuse all corporate lobbyist money and I don’t believe we should be
bankrolled by special interests at all. Each cycle the big dark money
interests rotate - NRA, AIPAC, fossil fuel lobby, etc. This cycle it’s the
AI lobby.
