Now that the House acted on behalf of the people to extend a $25 billion lifeline to save the USPS, they’re sending their bill to the Senate for a vote.
Mitch McConnell needs to do his job and move this bill through the Senate and to the desk of the President.
The United States Postal Service should not be a partisan issue -- it’s fundamental to our democracy. Here’s a video Mike recorded right outside of the US Capitol earlier today:
It’s inexcusable that our veterans and seniors have to wait weeks to receive their medication through the mail. There are millions of Americans who live in small cities and towns around the nation where UPS and FEDEX don’t deliver to -- they have no choice but to rely on the USPS.
The postal service is also essential to hundreds of thousands of small businesses across the country who are doing everything they can to survive during the economic downturn brought on by the pandemic.
