It’s been a long week here in Iowa, team.

Following last week’s devastating derecho storm, Abby’s been giving on-the-ground updates on Twitter and we wanted to be sure you saw them.

Last week, Abby raised the alarm on the much-needed support Iowans needed -- and weren’t receiving.

On Tuesday, Abby and chef and humanitarian José Andrés’ organization, World Central Kitchen, helped provide flashlights to those who’ve been without power for days.

Abby later joined local volunteers to deliver generators to neighbors.

She’s out, in the district, meeting with neighbors who’ve lost so much during this tragedy, and helping them find real solutions to recover.

And, nearly every night, Abby is giving a video update on what she’s seeing around the district, and updating folks on the progress being made in our community.

While Abby has been working tirelessly to ensure Iowans get the resources and aid they need, we know there is much, much more work to be done.
