Holding Walz's Commissioners Accountable

The Walz Administration keeps playing musical chairs at DHS to dodge Senate confirmation and avoid accountability for its fraud failures. Senate Democrats have allowed it to happen. That’s why I offered an amendment to cap pay for unconfirmed commissioners at 75% until the Senate does its job and holds them accountable.

Securing Funding for Critical Waste Infrastructure

This session, I secured $8.5 million in state funding for critical solid waste infrastructure, helping reduce the burden on local property taxpayers while ensuring our region can continue to manage waste safely and efficiently. This investment will help maintain reliable waste management services and support the needs of our growing communities.

While this is an important step, there is more work ahead to make meaningful tax relief permanent for Minnesota taxpayers.

Strengthening Program Integrity and Protecting Taxpayer Dollars

Minnesotans are tired of seeing taxpayer dollars lost to fraud. I supported electronic visit verification reforms that were included in the bipartisan end of session program integrity agreement. These changes strengthen oversight in high-risk programs and help ensure taxpayer dollars are used as intended.

Honoring Memorial Day

A couple weeks ago, I attended Memorial Day programs in Herman and at the Fergus Falls Veterans Home, joining community members in honoring those who gave their lives in service to our country. I am grateful for the veterans and volunteers who ensure we continue to remember and reflect on the sacrifices made for our freedoms.
