Hey John, it’s Hannah.

I wanted to share an update with you on what happens next in the ranked-choice voting process.

Since no candidate in our primary received more than 50% of the vote, vote tabulations will now occur in rounds. In each round, the candidate with the fewest votes is eliminated, and those ballots are redistributed based on voters’ next-ranked choices. We are in a strong second place and predictions have our campaign favored to win on the final ranked-choice count! This is an unpredictable process though so we are prepared for any result.

As of today, all ballots have all been collected and sent to Augusta, and the process has begun with a winner likely to be announced by mid to late next week.

While we wait for the next round of results, I want to thank you for everything you've done to help us reach this point. Your support, encouragement, and belief in our campaign has made all the difference. I am in the position I am in and hopeful because of your amazing support.

While the final outcome won't be determined until next week we believe that it is important that every vote is fully counted. As we do this, we need to ensure we have our lawyers in the room and I’m working to keep our amazing staff on the team until we know the outcome.

The days ahead remain important, and I'd be grateful for your continued support as the tabulation process moves forward.
