Through relentless gerrymandering, Republicans have made it clear they will lie, cheat, and steal to insulate Donald Trump and the Republican Congress from consequences at the ballot box.

But we, the people, still hold power in America — and here’s how we’re fighting back.

We just rolled out a robust, multi-front strategy to defeat Trump’s gerrymandering — and ultimately prevent it from ever happening again. Today, I want to dive deep into the very first pillar of our plan: 

DEFEND against more Republican power grabs.

But before I dive in, can you make a donation to help fund this massive undertaking? People power is how we’re going to execute this plan — and win.

Let’s start by stating facts: Trump and Republicans launched an unprecedented effort to maximize partisan advantage ahead of the midterms — and they did so by deliberately diminishing minority voting power.

The first domino to fall was Texas, triggering Missouri and North Carolina to fall in line. But the Supreme Court’s disastrous decision in Louisiana v. Callais unleashed an even more disgraceful set of gerrymanders. New maps in Tennessee, Louisiana, and Alabama will diminish or even completely erase Black voters’ ability to access equal representation. 

Republicans see plenty of opportunities to take this shameful strategy to the next level for 2028.

In order to meet this moment, we must treat each state individually and aggressively defend against GOP gerrymanders in places like Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. 

Here’s what that looks like:

• Preventing and overturning gerrymanders through grassroots mobilization and voter referendums.
• Educating eligible voters with the information they need to build political power and make their voices heard, such as registering to vote. 
• Enforcing voting laws in both state and federal courts to combat efforts to undermine Americans’ right to vote.

This work is happening right now. And it’ll lay the foundation for how we’re able to protect free and fair elections, equal representation, and voting rights for months and years to come. But this is no small feat — and it’s only Part One of the plan. We’re counting on your grassroots support to power this work and ensure we can restore fairness in democracy.
