Both of them held U.S. visas. It was a mockery of our sovereignty. And our
own government let them stay.

I introduced the No Safe Haven for Terrorist Families Act. It does one thing:
Revoke the visas of terrorists' close relatives. Spouses. Parents. Children.
Siblings. Grandparents. Grandchildren. Nieces and nephews.
If you're a terrorist, your family doesn't get to stay in America. Period.

Senator Tom Cotton
Tom Cotton is a sixth-generation Arkansan born and raised on his family's
cattle farm in Yell County. He graduated from Dardanelle High School before
earning a bachelor's degree from Harvard University and a J.D. from Harvard Law
School. After clerking on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and
briefly practicing law, the September 11 attacks redirected the course of his
life.
Cotton joined the United States Army as an Infantry Officer and served nearly
five years on active duty. He deployed to Iraq with the 101st Airborne Division
and to Afghanistan with a Provincial Reconstruction Team. Between those combat
tours, he led a platoon with The Old Guard at Arlington National Cemetery — the
unit responsible for military honors funerals. His decorations include the
Bronze Star Medal, the Combat Infantry Badge, and the Ranger Tab.
After leaving active duty in 2009, Cotton ran for Congress in 2012, winning
Arkansas's 4th Congressional District. After his term, he set his sights on the
Senate, announcing his candidacy in August 2013 and going on to win a decisive
victory in the 2014 general election, flipping the seat from Democratic to
Republican.
Cotton currently chairs the Senate Intelligence Committee, sits on the Armed
Services Committee and the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, and since
November 2024 has served as Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference — the
third-ranking position in Senate Republican leadership. Cotton has established
himself as a leading figure within the Republican Party, with a particular
focus on national security and conservative policy.
Tom and his wife Anna have two sons, Gabriel and Daniel.
