Hi friend,
Over the last few days, we've been asking a simple question:
Where in the world is Greg Abbott?
Team TDP pointed out that our governor seems to spend a lot of time helping Donald Trump, weighing in on national political fights, and chasing culture war cable news headlines.
Then our Executive Director Terri explained why that matters so much.
It’s pretty simple: while Greg Abbott is busy playing national MAGA political games, Texans are still dealing with rising costs, public schools closing down, an unreliable electric grid, and some of the highest insurance premiums in the country.
Hardworking people can’t pay their bills for crying out loud. And here's the thing:
None of those problems are going away on their own. Don’t you agree that Texans deserve a governor who puts their needs first? Let us know!
If Texans want leaders who are focused on Texas, we're going to have to demand it and make it happen at the ballot box. That’s why we’re proud to support Gina Hinojosa as the Democratic candidate for governor.

While Greg Abbott spends his time serving Donald Trump and national Republicans, Gina is focused on the issues Texans are actually talking about around their kitchen tables: lowering costs, strengthening public schools, protecting our rights, and building a Texas that works for everyone.
And here's the good news: polls show this race is competitive.
For the first time in a long time, Texans have a real opportunity to hold Greg Abbott accountable at the ballot box.
But opportunities don't win elections. Organizing does.
That's why we're building the grassroots movement it will take to elect Gina Hinojosa and Democrats up and down the ballot.

If you're ready for a governor who puts Texas first, we're asking you to stand with us:
- Let us know that you agree that Greg Abbott should focus more on his job than palling around with Donald Trump.
- Chip in to help elect Gina as the next governor of Texas so we finally get the leadership we deserve.
