In Colorado’s 1st congressional district, Justice Democrat Melat Kiros recently went head-to-head with corporate stooge Diana DeGette in a debate where Medicare for All was under attack.
The corporate-backed establishment incumbent pretends she doesn’t know why we can’t pass guaranteed health care for everyone in this country, but Melat exposed the ugly truth.
She called out DeGette directly, saying the only way we’ll pass Medicare for All is “to vote out every single Congress member that is taking money from Big Pharma and… preventing the legislation from actually getting through to Congress.” 🔥
That means voting out DeGette, who’s taken a whopping $555,765 from 30 different Big Pharma PACs since the 2010 cycle.
Those massive checks keep her in line with the corporate agenda: don’t give an inch to the working class, and never let Medicare for All pass.
DeGette has served in Congress for 30 years while the lives of working people have only gotten harder. We have to kick her and every other Do-Nothing Democrat holding up progress out of Congress to finally turn things around.
Melat can win this primary and be a progressive champion for the working class in Washington — but she can only do it with a surge of grassroots support to overcome those corporate PAC checks in the final weeks of the race.
