In 2022, I won re-election as Wisconsin Attorney General. I won by 1.33 percentage points.

That race was close — but not as close as my first race for AG. In 2018, I won by .65 percentage points.

Remarkably, in 5 of the last 7 presidential elections, Wisconsin was decided by less than 1 percentage point.

In statewide elections in Wisconsin, effective organizing efforts and strong campaigns can make the difference between winning and losing.

I’m running for another term as AG, and this year’s election for Wisconsin Attorney General will be a rematch. Eric Toney, the Republican I defeated by 1.33 percentage points in 2022, is running for AG again.

Eric Toney supported Michael Gableman’s so-called investigation into the 2020 elections in Wisconsin. And, in 2022, he called for members of the Wisconsin Elections Commission to be removed from office, which he asserted was “a necessary step to restore confidence in our elections and defend election laws.”

My administration successfully defended the outcome of the 2020 presidential election in Wisconsin in court. And I called for the Gableman investigation to be shut down.

We need an AG in Wisconsin who can be counted on to stand up for our democracy.
