Hi John,

In just three days, the G7 – the world’s richest countries, including the
U.S. – is meeting in France. 

This meeting comes at a critical time. The U.S. just experienced its
second-warmest spring ever^1, while Europe^2 and India^3 have broken
spring temperature records. Meanwhile, oil and gas giants just boasted to
the world about their soaring profits.^4 And people like you and me are
scratching our heads, watching our bills go up. 

It’s completely unfair. The companies that caused the climate crisis are
flush with cash while our planet burns and we struggle to pay our bills.

We need justice. We need action. That’s why we’re sending our global
petition to French President Macron ahead of the G7 Summit he's hosting in
France – calling on him and all of these rich nations to implement a
permanent tax on obscene polluter profits. [ [link removed] ]Will you add your name to

The G7 has historically aided the fossil fuel industry, and many oil
giants are headquartered in these countries. Make no mistake: it’s a
deliberate, political decision to let these polluters continue to profit. 

These countries have a historical responsibility to fix the energy and
climate crisis. It’s time they finally stood up to the polluters and
permanently taxed their profits. But they’re not going to do it without
pressure.
