AFGE Family -
The Women’s and Fair Practices Department is proud to announce the roll out of the newest online learning module in our Basics of EEO series: Theories of Discrimination. This training explains what the “theories of discrimination” are and describes what type of illegal discrimination falls under each category, or “theory”, of discrimination: disparate treatment, disparate impact, sexual harassment/hostile work environment, reasonable accommodation, and retaliation.
This online series is designed to train our AFGE members on the basics of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) law and empowers locals to recognize and fight discrimination in the workplace. Other available modules include Protected Classes, Process & Timelines, and Diversity & Inclusion.
These online modules can be taken at any time and are free and open to all AFGE members. The Basics of EEO modules are available from the WFP Manuals & Forms web page as well as from AFGE's Education web page.
