25 Thrifty Ways to Cut Your Water Bill

Good morning!

Everything in this article makes me think of my granny. She was the sweetest lady who ever lived, in my opinion. She was always so kind to me, and I know she loved me dearly. She passed away when I was 15, and I feel so lucky to have had that much time with her.

Today's article is inspired by my granny, who had to pump water in the yard and bring it inside when she was a girl. That was her chore, as the youngest, and she hated it. She became a pro at saving water because of it, even when she had unlimited amounts flowing from her faucets.

The Tower

Yesterday was such a productive day writing. I love it when that happens. I got three chapters of The Tower written before anyone else in the house was up. (I get too distracted to write when someone is rummaging around or listening to music.)

This book is so different than my others. It's survival in a power outage world, but the main character, Evie, is a handicapped woman who lives in a penthouse apartment in a large city. It's also written in first person, as Evie's journal. It has a bit more humor than my other books because you're privy to Evie's thoughts. I like how it's going so far.

I'm only about halfway through with the book, but if you want to read it in large chunks, consider joining my Patreon for $5 a month, where I'm posting several chapters at a time. I also have some silly little essays titled "In Which..." and they're written in a proper, melodramatic Victorian-style prose so you can hear what goes on in my head. Subscriptions support The OP and my fiction!

I hope you have a great day today!

Stay safe.

Be happy.

Love,

Daisy
