This week, President Trump’s hand-picked Postmaster General Louis DeJoy claimed he was “suspending” his crippling policy changes at the Postal Service, which included the deconstruction of mail-sorting machines, the removal of mail collection boxes from street corners, and mandated delays in mail delivery.
While Americans are worrying about the timely delivery of life-saving prescriptions, paychecks, ballots, and so much more, DeJoy has yet to tell us how he plans to undo the damage he’s already done to the USPS.
Lizzie, like so many Americans, believes that the USPS is a vital part of our daily lives, our livelihoods, our communities, and our democracy. The United States Postal Service is not only in our Constitution, it is essential to connecting our country and encouraging the spread of ideas!
