Flu Vaccine mandates are here!
The University of California, Veterans Affairs Health and many other
employers/organizations are implementing flu vaccine mandates for all with
only strict medical exemptions.

This Action Alert deals specifically with the UC Flu Vaccination
requirement, but we will be sending out a follow up email with details on
how to respond if your employer is requiring you to get the flu vaccine to
work. Even if you are not part of the UC system, if you live in CA your
taxes pay for it, so please TAKE ACTION TODAY.

This petition will be delivered to the UC President and UC Board of Regents,
asking them to either rescind the UC Flu Vaccine Requirement or to alter it
as follows:
- Make the flu vaccine a recommendation, rather than a mandate
- Allow a religious or personal/conscious belief exemption
- Allow mask wearing as an alternative

This survey is to assess the reaction to the UC Flu Vaccine requirement
among UC faculty, staff and students, as well as other concerned
individuals.

Give public comment to the UC Health Services Committee - 10am Monday 8/24

8/23 to sign up to give public comment. All public comments will be
selected randomly; however those who sign up by 5:00 p.m. on August 23 will
have priority. Efforts will be made to accommodate each individual who has
signed up to speak. Please note that given time constraints, there is no
guarantee that all who have signed up will be able to address the Regents.
