That’s what made me who I am today

Patriot,
This is an email about Rush on the radio, 300 heads of cattle, and a donkey
named Barack. Admittedly, it’s a bit longer than my typical message, but I’m
betting it’ll be worth your time.

It's Congressman Brandon Gill — You might know me from when I became the
youngest House Republican last year. Or maybe you've seen me put a radical
leftist on blast during a hearing and refuse to let them squirm off the hook.
But before Washington, before Congress, before any of this… there was a cattle
ranch outside of Abilene, Texas.
That's where I grew up. On the land, under the sun, with dirt on my boots and
work to do before the school bus ever showed up.
Every morning, my day started the same way, with my AM radio crackling to
life, and the voice of Rush Limbaugh booming through the speakers. Rush taught
me a lot. He taught me to love this country and never apologize for it. He
taught me that common sense isn't always easy to find in this world.
And when Rush signed off, the cattle were still waiting.
All 300 of them.

I'll tell you one thing — when you're responsible for 300 head of cattle, you
learn real fast to watch where you step. I've dodged more cow pies than I can
count. Probably good training for Washington, come to think of it.
But my favorite story from the ranch? Our donkey.
Our whole family went back and forth trying to figure out what to name him. He
was stubborn, braying at everything and sometimes refused to do what he was
told.
But I took one look at him and said, "Let’s call him Barack."
It just fit. You can probably understand why.
Now, that ranch — those early mornings, those long days, that crackly AM radio
— it shaped who I am today.
It taught me that freedom is worth fighting for as something real and precious
that you protect with every fiber of your being.
It taught me that God and family are the foundation of everything. Without
them, none of the rest matters.
And it taught me the one lesson I think about every single day I walk through
the halls of Congress:
Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.
Ronald Reagan said it first.
And Patriot, I need you to understand — that truth has never been more urgent
than it is right now.
I came to Congress because my kids deserve to grow up in a better America than
I grew up in — and right now, that's not guaranteed.
The Democrat Machine isn't sitting on its hands. They are mobilizing with a
fury and a level of funding that should terrify every freedom-loving American
paying attention. And if we don’t stop it, everything this country was built on
is at risk. That’s why I’m coming to you today asking for help.

Here's what they're doing right now, as you read this:
– Flooding swing districts with millions in vicious attack ads designed to
destroy good conservatives
– Saturating every media outlet with coordinated anti-Trump propaganda 24
hours a day
– Weaponizing federal bureaucrats and the Deep State to quietly sabotage our
agenda from the inside
– Filing lawsuit after lawsuit to tie our hands and grind our work to a halt
– Running smear campaigns in the press to make America-first values look like
extremism
– And quietly building toward a billion-dollar war chest to take back power in
the next election
This is not fearmongering. The left has decided they would rather burn this
country down than let us save it.
I grew up on that ranch learning that hard work and faith can get you through
anything. But even the toughest Texan can't hold the line alone.
I need you standing with me.
Will you take just one minute right now and chip in to help me fight back?
Whatever you can give — $10, $25, $50, or more — it goes directly toward
pushing back against everything I just described.

Believe me, I'm not someone who finds it easy to ask for support. Texting and
emailing you like this is the last thing I thought I'd have to do when I ran
for Congress.
But I didn't come to Washington to watch a bunch of radical leftists dismantle
the great country Rush taught me to be proud of.
God bless you, and God bless the United States of America.
