Please "join" Families United 4 Justice Las Vegas, a local group of police violence survivors, for a virtual press conference this morning at 10:00am on Facebook. The murder of George Floyd exposed the system of policing for what it is, a tool of white supremacy and violence. While changes are being made to change the way our communities are policed, as Anti-Racism Advocates, we MUST support those impacted by police brutality and homicide.

The family of Las Vegas Metropolitan police homicide victim Joseph Justin and supporting organizations including the Mass Liberation Project and ACLU of Nevada, will hold a press conference this morning to issue their demands to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD). These demands include the immediate resignation of Captain Nichole Splinter, the immediate termination of former LVMPD officer Timothy Nicothodes' medical retirement, and the immediate return of Joseph Justin's belongings to his family.
