Learn what play can do for children in crisis.

John, play isn't a luxury. It's a lifeline.

It's one of the most powerful tools children have to learn, heal and build resilience. Every child deserves to play, no matter where they are or what they're living through.

But right now, more than 400 million children are growing up in conflict zones, where education systems have collapsed and safe spaces have disappeared.

That's why today, on International Day of Play, we have some exciting news to share: The IRC and the LEGO Foundation are expanding our playful learning model to 5 million more children across East Africa and the Middle East. Take a moment to see how the IRC and LEGO Foundation are helping more children learn through play.

SEE HOW PLAY CHANGES LIVES »

Since 2019, the IRC and the LEGO Foundation have reached more than 7 million children across 12 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East—building spaces where kids can learn, grow and just be kids.

Now, our renewed five-year partnership is helping us go even further by embedding these approaches into national systems so the impact doesn't stop when a program ends.

None of this happens without people like you behind it.
