It’s official: USPS has been forced to raise its prices.
According to USPS’s own website, the Postal Service will “raise prices on its commercial domestic competitive parcels – Priority Mail Express, Priority Mail, First-Class Package Service, Parcel Select, and Parcel Return Service.”
We knew from the start that Trump’s goal was to starve USPS of funding so that it would be forced to raise its prices. Trump suggested that if the agency agreed to his demands, he’d consider approving the relief loan passed by Congress.
But now that USPS has agreed to a price increase, there’s no relief in sight. It looks like the House Democrats are the Postal Service’s only hope. As USPS looks less and less like a government agency and more and more like a failing Trump business, we’re reaching out to you. What do you want from your elected officials?
