You might know me as one of the only Republicans in Congress on the January 6th Committee. I was there when former Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn testified before Congress about the horrors he witnessed that day. He put it all on the line to defend our democracy.

He protected members of Congress regardless of our party. Yet it didn’t take long for my fellow House Republicans to cheer on the violent insurrection, trample on the sanctity of our elections, and hand Donald Trump unprecedented power.

Like Harry, I put my oath above politics and MAGA made me an outcast for it. After Harry spoke truth to power, Trump’s base threatened his life. But he’s never stopped standing up for what’s right.

We need courageous leaders like Harry in Congress to fight back against MAGA extremism. He stood strong against Trump’s violent mob on January 6th and he isn’t afraid to stand up to him again.
