Over the next few weeks, your inbox is going to be flooded. You are going to receive hair-on-fire emails from PACs or career politicians in both parties screaming about fake deadlines, artificial goals, and manufactured crises.

They do it because it raises money. They create a panic to pad their war chests while continuing to do absolutely nothing in Washington.

I am not going to do that to you. I am an Independent, which means I don't answer to the D.C. political elite — and I refuse to treat you like a walking ATM.

When I set a fundraising goal, it is because we have an operational need. And right now, as we approach our End-of-Quarter deadline, our need is very real.

We are running an Independent campaign to unseat Mike Rounds. The D.C. establishment said it was impossible. But our latest polling proves them wrong—when voters hear my story, we take a 2-point lead (44% to 42%).

That polling is incredible, but it isn't enough to win. The national media and the establishment power brokers don't just look at polls. They look at the FEC reports. And we e don't have billionaires bailing us out in secret, so we have to prove our momentum out in the open.

Our End-of-Quarter goal isn't a gimmick. It is the mathematical threshold we need to cross to keep our ads on the air and prove to the nation that this movement is real.
