Washington has left one hell of a mess for the rest of us: Career politicians who've been in office for decades, a Supreme Court with no ethics code and no accountability, a campaign finance system where corporations and dark money groups can pour unlimited cash into elections without disclosing a single donor's name, and a political establishment — on both sides — that has decided this is just how things work now.
It's not good enough.
One belief that cuts through Democrats, Republicans, and everyone in between? They think politicians are corrupt and the system is rigged against them. They're not wrong. And we're not going to fix it by sending the same kind of politician to Washington that broke it in the first place.
That's why I just released my anti-corruption agenda — a real plan to ban corporate political spending, overturn Citizens United, and reform a Supreme Court that has spent decades making it easier for special interests to buy elections.
