In April, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) and The Jed Foundation (JED) announced our intent to merge and become the nation’s largest nonprofit dedicated to suicide prevention across the lifespan. Joining forces will allow us to combine resources and expertise to create an even stronger, more impactful organization. AFSP wouldn't be here today without you, our incredible community members, which is why I'd like to invite you to [a special conversation about the merger]([link removed]). Next Wednesday, June 17, JED CEO John MacPhee and I will sit down with moderator Margaret Boasberg of The Bridgespan Group for a behind-the-scenes look at why we decided to merge, how the process has unfolded, and the opportunities we believe this next chapter will bring. You'll hear directly from John and me about this exciting moment and the many possibilities it holds. We hope you’ll join us.
