This race has closed to a statistical tie heading into the final week with Jeff Starling having gained clear momentum in the polls. But as much as 50% of the likely primary electorate is still undecided and just beginning to tune in! Every dollar, phone call, door knock and text message matters – this race will be decided by which candidate can best get his message to voters down the stretch. Jeff Starling has the momentum and resources heading into the final seven days and will win this race.

Jeff has defined this race on his terms: a practicing attorney, businessman and pro-Trump political outsider versus a career politician Jon Echols who raised taxes while enriching himself with corrupt deals and backstabbing President Trump. The contrast is landing, and the undecided voters now deciding this primary are exactly the voters that contrast was built to move.

Echols — a longtime political ally of the grassroots’ nemesis, Representative Chris Kannady — is taking on water as voters have learned about his votes for giant tax hikes, letting the CCP buy up Oklahoma farmland, and being caught on the Polstons’ jailhouse tape bragging about how they bought off Jon Echols. Echols used his political connections to get government-contract bid requirements changed, and when his businesses got sued—over 160 times—it resulted in expensive settlements paid by the property taxes of hard-working Oklahomans. His image is now underwater – with more voters viewing him negatively than positively.

Fact-Checking Echols’ Desperate Attacks

Jon Echols has run a negative campaign from start to finish. He’s never even appeared in an ad telling voters what he will do as Attorney General in his own words – perhaps because he personifies the slimy politician that his record shows him to be.

LIE #1: China: Jeff has never taken a dime from, or worked for, Chinese companies. Echols voted for the bill that authorized CCP-owned companies to own Oklahoma farmland.

Jeff Starling has never taken money from, or worked for, Chinese companies — period. Echols, as a member of the Oklahoma House, voted for SB 1705 (2024), the foreign-land bill that left in place the carve-out shielding Chinese-owned companies from divesting Oklahoma farmland.

LIE #2: Trump: Jeff has always been with President Trump. It’s Echols who supported and endorsed DeSantis and stabbed Trump in the back while Biden, Harris and crooked Democrat prosecutors were trying to imprison President Trump.

Jeff Starling has consistently supported President Trump and the America First agenda. Jon Echols endorsed Trump’s political opponent in the 2024 Republican presidential primary — a fact Jeff raised directly in the May 18 debate and that Echols has not disputed. When it mattered most, Echols chose someone other than Trump. Jeff didn’t, and there’s not one shred of evidence even suggesting otherwise.

LIE #3: Experience: Jeff has actually practiced law and managed complex litigation. Echols has collected a paycheck in the Capitol and spent more time as a defendant in lawsuits against his shady companies than representing clients in court.

Jeff is a practicing attorney — a top 50 national law firm, head of litigation at Devon Energy, and a senior executive at an Oklahoma oilfield-services company — now serving as Oklahoma’s Secretary of Energy and Environment. Echols spent 12 years in the legislature, eight as Majority Floor Leader, while profiting from his company’s government contracts. Jeff has tried cases and managed complex litigation in Oklahoma. The other has cashed checks from lobbyists, special interests and shady deals that look like pay to play corruption.
