I’ll be honest, John: I don’t love dress shoes. Of course, I’ll wear them when the moment calls for it. But when I’m out on the trail, meeting Pennsylvanians at their workplaces, their homes, and their communities? I’d rather put on a pair of sneakers every time.

Pretty nice kicks, huh?

Here’s the deal: I’ve put a whole lot of miles on my newest pair of sneakers since Launch Day. Enough to the point where… they’re not looking so squeaky clean anymore.

But John, I think that’s a damn good metaphor for our campaign. In Pennsylvania, progress doesn’t always come easy. It takes hard work, common sense, and yes, compromise to get things done. It’s not always the prettiest process — but once you brush off the dust, I’ll tell you this: It gets the job done.

John, I’m more than willing to get my hands (and my shoes) a little dirty to get sh*t done for Pennsylvania. If that’s the kind of leadership you want to see in our government, I’m humbly asking for your support. We’ve got a huge End-of-Quarter fundraising deadline coming up — our biggest goal of the election year so far — and we can’t hit it unless folks like you step up to the plate and chip in.
