I have exciting news! I’m proud to endorse my friend and fellow midwestern Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan for U.S. Senate today.

Let me tell you a little bit about my friend Peggy.

I met Peggy 7 years ago, when both she and I were sworn in as Lieutenant Governors — her in Minnesota, and me in Illinois. Since then, we’ve both fought relentlessly to deliver for the people of our great states. Today, we’re following a similar path as we both run for U.S. Senate.

Peggy has always been the type of person who centers her community. She has a heart for the people and leads with conviction. So when she saw the current administration ransack our government to give handouts to corporations and their rich friends, and wage war on working people, she decided to step up and fight back. Because hard-working American families deserve more than just the bare minimum. We deserve to thrive.

Now, both Peggy and I are taking our fight to defend working people to the U.S. Senate. And that’s why I am so excited to endorse her campaign for United States Senate.
