1. Show up early — and stay.
When Democrats stop showing up in certain places, somebody else fills the void.
Too often, it is people who have no real interest in helping working families — just dividing them, distracting them, and cashing in while communities get left behind.
2. Talk about what people actually feel.
Strong schools. Good jobs. Healthcare. Child care. The family farm. Main Street businesses. Whether your kids can afford to build a life in the place they grew up.
That is what people are talking about around kitchen tables, in break rooms, and at Friday night football games. Democrats have to make the case on the issues that actually impact people’s lives.
3. Back leaders who know their communities.
That means finding and supporting teachers, nurses, veterans, laborers, small business owners, and young people who understand what their neighbors are up against — and who are ready to fight for the places they call home.
