This picture is by Kazuhiro Ishizu, who was 37 when the bomb hit Hiroshima. It shows the terrible devastation that was unleashed by the bomb: "The whole city had tumbled over ... Voices near and far screamed for help in desperate pain".

Dear Friend,
Hiroshima and Nagasaki day commemorations may be over, but our work to honour the casualties and survivors of those atomic bombings continues. We must ensure that the terrible lessons of Hiroshima and Nagasaki are never forgotten, and we need your support to do this.
Please donate if you can.
Pictures like the one above - pictures made by those who saw the bombings first hand - convey the horrors of nuclear weapons so directly and clearly. But as the events of 6th and 9th August 1945 recede further into the past, those horrors are in real danger of being forgotten.
This Autumn, we want to change this; to reach a new audience with videos, animations, graphics, and every other tool available to us, to convey the appalling reality of nuclear war as clearly as the art of Hiroshima survivors does. Because if we don't pass on their witness to the next generation, who will?
We still need to raise around £11,000 for this campaign. Please help by making a donation if you can.

Together, we can ensure that Hiroshima is never forgotten. Together, we can win a nuclear-free world.
In peace,
