Dear friend,
We promised we'd let you know when we'd added councillors’ email addresses to WriteToThem.com ([link removed]) after the recent elections. Well...
** They’re in!
------------------------------------------------------------
Everything’s ready for you to contact your local representatives, whichever part of the UK you live in.
** Why email your representatives?
------------------------------------------------------------
We're not saying everyone should send an email to their politicians right now. But if you have a tricky problem and you've tried other avenues, sometimes getting a councillor or even an MP involved can make all the difference.
Equally, if you think something's wrong, in your local area or nationally, writing to politicians is one route to getting things changed.
Of course, you might have nothing to complain about at the moment — lucky you! Keep WriteToThem ([link removed]) in your bookmarks… and don’t forget to spread the word to friends and family who might need it.
** Why use WriteToThem?
------------------------------------------------------------
WriteToThem makes it very easy to send an email to your politicians. You don't even have to know who they are — just type your postcode on the homepage and you'll see them all listed out.

** How do I choose which representative to contact?
------------------------------------------------------------
It’s a fair question. After all, in some areas, people have a potentially bewildering number of options. In Scotland, for example, you are represented in UK Parliament by your MP; you also have a constituency MSP and seven further regional MSPs in Scottish Parliament. At a local level, up to four councillors represent your interests in the local council.
How nice to have all these people working on our behalf… but the question remains, how do you choose which one to contact?
** We can help with that.
------------------------------------------------------------
If you enter your postcode on this page ([link removed]) , you’ll see advice specially tailored to your area, listing what issues each type of politician deals with.
So, whether you have a personal problem you'd like your representatives to help with; want to express how you feel about a point of UK legislation; or have something to say about a burning local issue, you can hop over to WriteToThem, and start that conversation — secure in the knowledge that your message will go to the politician most able to help.
