I'll be straight with you.

We have a federal fundraising deadline at the end of this month. And I’m sure you’ve already begun to see all the emails from different campaigns whipping up a frenzy around June 30th.

So instead of doing that, let me pull back the curtain and tell you what's actually on the line.

The number we report to the FEC isn't just a number. It's a public filing. Donors read it. The party reads it. The press reads it. And most importantly, Julie Fedorchak's team reads it. It's how all of them decide whether this campaign is for real and how much they’ll need to spend to defend her seat.

For us on the ground, that number is the number of yard signs we can order. How many miles can we put on the truck getting across North Dakota to meet voters where they live? How many ads can we run to get our message in front of the folks who still haven't heard it? It's the difference between a campaign that shows up everywhere and one stuck making hard choices about where it can afford to be.

I have never once walked away from a fight worth having. And this one, my friend, is worth having. Julie Fedorchak is already spending like she's worried. She should be. But to make sure her worst fears come true, we need resources. And that starts with how we close out this month.
