Dear John ,

Summer seems like the best time for a nice family cruise. But your next cruise
vacation could spell destruction for oceanic wildlife, especially a family of
whales.

Recently, Carnival Corporation’s cruises all received Fs on the Friends of the
Earth cruise ship report card. They pollute our air. They’ve spilled toxic oil
in our oceans. And they dumped contaminated” gray water” into Alaska’s Glacier
Bay National Park.

But time and again, these toxic vessels are allowed to pass through Glacier
Bay’s pristine waters. It’s time for the National Park Service to revoke
Carnival’s pass to pollute. With your help John we can
convince the agency to strip Carnival’s permit to sail through Glacier Bay!

Take action now: Tell the National Park Service to revoke Carnival’s permit to
sail through Glacier Bay!

National Parks were created to preserve natural and cultural resources for the
enjoyment and education of all. Polluting these incredible places is counter to
that mission. And letting a repeat offender like Carnival continue sailing
through these pristine waters is unconscionable.

To date, Carnival Corp. has illegally dumped over 600,000 gallons of sewage and
gray water along with over 11,000 gallons of food waste into the ocean. It has
repeatedly violated environmental law, and when caught, still violated
regulations, even while on criminal probation!

Carnival Corp. cruise ships can only enter Glacier Bay waters because they have
a special permit. And though Congress manages these contracts, the Park Service
implements and enforces them. The Park Service plays a critical role in whether
or not these permits continue. Carnival has no business in our oceans or our
iconic wild places when it continues to illegally pollute.

Now, the Park Service needs to hear this message from people like you. Even if
you’ve never been to Glacier Bay National Park, you still have a voice in how
our national parks are managed and protected. They need to know that engaged
environmentalists like you want our parks protected from oil spills, wastewater
dumping, and other negative cruise ship impacts.

Make your voice heard: Tell the National Park Service to ban Carnival Corp. and
its ships from entering Glacier Bay!

It is appalling that the Park Service is willing to allow a repeat offender to
enter the protected and fragile waters of Glacier Bay. Carnival’s pollution over
the years can be compared to environmental disasters like the Exxon Valdez oil
spill. However, since it happens over time and in hundreds of incidents, rather
than a single event, its destruction flies under the radar.

This a clear case of the Trump Administration putting corporate profits over
protecting our wildlife and iconic wild places. But the Park Service isn’t
accountable to corporations. As a public agency, it’s accountable to everyday
people like you and me.

The Park Service should use its power to protect our pristine parks and iconic
wildlife. But it’s up to engaged environmentalists like you and me to demand the
agency does its job and protects Glacier Bay! Can we count on your support,
John?

Help send 35,000 comments: Demand the Park Service ban Carnival Corp. from
Glacier Bay for the damage it caused to our oceans and coastal communities.
