Donald Trump just officially nominated Todd Blanche to serve as Attorney General.1
Who is Todd Blanche? He’s another one of Trump’s MAGA cronies who is willing to put Trump over the American people. When Trump fired Attorney General Pam Bondi, it wasn’t to fix the Department of Justice (DOJ), it was to fill the role with someone who will push the department into a further politicized machine for his benefit only.
Todd Blanche is not only a Trump loyalist, but he was also his personal lawyer. Blanche has spent years defending Trump—he represented him in the Stormy Daniels hush money trial, when Trump was accused of hoarding classified documents, and in his role in election interference.2,3
Not only is this a gross conflict of interest, but it also shows that Blanche will lead the Department of Justice with one mission: Protect Trump and give the president endless power.

He has spearheaded attacks against Trump’s political enemies—from indicting James Comey to attacking the Southern Poverty Law Center to even pushing inquiries into January 6 witness Cassidy Hutchinson.
Blanche created and defended Trump’s $1.8 billion slush fund for insurrectionists. And he’s even gone as far to try to clear convictions against insurrectionists, including the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys—not only was he supporting the presidential pardons, but trying to fully remove the records himself.4,5
Blanche will do whatever it takes to protect MAGA loyalists and protect the President. Tell Congress: BLOCK Blanche’s nomination.
The DOJ should be working to protect the people. But from Bondi to Blanche, this department has only worked to serve the president and ensure he has endless power at the expense of the American people.
The failure to provide transparency into the release of the Epstein files was one of the breaking points of this poor leadership. The DOJ wasn’t concerned about bringing justice for survivors—instead, Blanche personally interviewed Epstein co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell and moved her into a minimum-security prison.6
The American people deserve answers. We deserve a full confirmation hearing that lets us see Blanche for who he truly is. And every Senator should block Blanche’s confirmation and hold him accountable for his dangerous abuses of power.
