John,

After bowing to overwhelming pressure from Democrats in Congress and progressives across the country, Donald Trump’s Postmaster General, Louis DeJoy testified before the Senate today.

In his testimony, DeJoy refused to reinstall the over 600 mail-sorting machines that were removed from USPS facilities across the country.

According to Mother Jones, a significant number of these machines were removed from critical swing states, including, “59 in Florida, 58 in Texas, 34 in Ohio, 30 in Pennsylvania, 26 in Michigan, 15 in North Carolina, 12 in Virginia, 12 in Wisconsin, and 11 in Georgia.”

Congress must immediately pass legislation requiring the Post Office reinstall all removed sorting machines and street side mailboxes, while also ensuring the full funding needed to deliver mail on time. Add your name to our petition right now if you agree >>>

President Trump has outright said he opposes additional funding for the Post Office because without it, “you can’t have universal mail-in voting.”

And now, his Postmaster General is working to slow down delivery times by removing the mail-sorting machines and slashing overtime for postal workers.

Millions of Americans depend on a functioning Postal Service to receive their prescriptions, bills, and ballots on time.

Trump wants to dismantle it in order to keep his grip on power. We can’t let that happen.

Sign our petition today calling on Congress to act immediately. We must pass legislation requiring the USPS to reinstall all the removed machines and mailboxes and provide the funding it needs to deliver mail on time >>

Thanks to pressure from DFA members like you and millions of people across the country, even Republicans in the Senate are taking this threat seriously and called DeJoy to testify today. Now, we need both the House and Senate to act to save the USPS and our election immediately.

We must keep up the pressure to force them to act. Thank you for not backing down until we win.
