John,
Postmaster General DeJoy just testified before the U.S. Senate. He admitted that 600 mail sorting machines have been removed under his leadership and that there is “no intention” to replace them.
Here’s the worst part, John. Many of the machines have been removed in critical swing states: 59 in Florida, 58 in Texas, 34 in Ohio, 30 in Pennsylvania, 26 in Michigan, 15 in North Carolina, 12 in Virginia, 12 in Wisconsin, and 11 in Georgia.1
We’re already hard at work building a massive team of volunteers to contact women voters in key swing states to drive record turnout and make sure every vote gets counted. Through these 1-1 conversations, we’re making sure voters know how to vote by mail and ensure their vote is counted.
During our first #TextBackTuesday volunteer shift, over 1,000 volunteers sent more than a quarter of a million texts to women voters in crucial states. Then this week, we did it again.
This work is so important, but it’s not cheap. Every dollar helps us increase the capacity of our texting and call tools and train more volunteers.
Thank you for pitching in during this key crunch time.
Rachel
