Republicans just passed their dangerous “Don't Say Trans” bill.

Here’s what it does:

→ Forbids the teaching of any subject that references transgender people,

→ Bans all books and student groups relating to being transgender,

→ Requires schools to out transgender students in certain situations, even if doing so would put them in physical danger.

John, as an educator of 24 years, I’m committed to fighting for legislation that puts our students and their needs first.

But if this bill passes, it could destroy the support systems that students rely on and put LGBTQ+ students across the country in real danger, so we have to act right now.
