In just a moment, I am going to ask you to split a contribution between our campaign for Senate and Senator Baldwin. Please give me a chance to explain why this request — especially today — is so important.

As we venture into the summer months, which are notoriously slow for fundraising, we have to continue growing our support and building up this campaign.

Mitch McConnell is hoping that our fundraising slows down. And what’s concerning is that it actually did at this point last summer, so we really have to make sure we keep up the pace.

This is why I’m hoping that we can get more donations today. So what do you say?

Will you split a $10 contribution today between my campaign and Senator Baldwin to help us stay on track to hit our goal this month? If we can keep up the pace, especially during the slower summer months, we’re going to win.

Making the decision to reject corporate PAC money was a big risk, but one that was important to me. Instead, we’re funding this campaign a different way.
