John,

Our mission is to elect women up and down the ballot because we know that with more women leaders, real and long-lasting change will happen. These are women who will lead law enforcement agencies, sit as judges, serve as district attorneys (and so much more).

But after the recruiting, the training, and the campaigning, our alums' success fundamentally comes down to access to the ballot box.

And amidst a pandemic, so many Americans depend on the United States Postal Service to be able to safely vote. Though Postmaster General DeJoy agreed to hold off on making additional cuts to the United States Postal Service until after November, we know this isn't good enough.

Add your name to demand Postmaster DeJoy reverse his disastrous cuts to the Postal Service. [[link removed]]

We know the training we provide alums is critical to their success — but it all comes down to turning out voters. The fight for funding the USPS is about more than access to a ballot box — it’s access to their livelihoods and their medicine as well.

That’s why our alums — leaders like Secretary of State Jena Griswold — are fighting back by suing the USPS Postmaster in a multi-state lawsuit challenging these dangerous cuts.

We have to stand with the alums fighting back at every level, so we need as many people as possible to add their name to our petition. Stand with us by adding your name here. [[link removed]]

Thank you!

This email was sent to [email protected]. Emerge is a national organization working to recruit, train, and get Democratic women elected across the country, and we are so grateful to have you on our team. Our alums are strong voices for Democratic values — and they are working to bring their values up and down the ballot to fight for working families. They are fighting for critical issues that affect our communities like the environment, accessible and affordable healthcare, social justice and education equity. We need more alums fighting for us across the country.

Email is the best way for us to keep you informed about what’s happening with our work. You may notice that we send a lot of emails asking for your support—that’s because we win when everyone does what they can to help. Our organization depends on thousands of actual people who care about our democracy and want to see positive change in our communities and across our country by building power through investing in Democratic women.
